Forestry

The Forestry Division is made up of multiple International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborists. These arborists are responsible for the maintenance and care of the Village’s Urban Forest, public grounds, and rights-of-way. Currently the division maintains over 6,000 trees, 100 landscape beds, and 75 turf locations. It is with the staff’s dedication and care that the Village of Bensenville maintains its designation as a Tree City USA.

The Forestry Division conducts many regular programs.

• The Parkway Tree Planting Program adds over 120 new trees each year. 
  • Parkway Tree Planting Permit
  • Parkway Tree Removal Permit
• The Parkway Tree Pruning Program maintains tree health. View the Village’s Pruning Zones Map and the GIS Dashboard for Tree Pruning.
• Bulk Mulch Delivery and pick-up allows residents to receive recycled mulch for free.
• Monthly Brush and Branch Collection. 
• Maintenance of the Urban Forestry Management, Preservation and Protection Plan.
• Maintenance of the Arboretum at Redmond Park.
