October is National Anti-Bullying Month. At Blackhawk this month, we have been concentrating on a variety of lesson plans and activities around this theme. As a culminating activity we are sponsoring our first ever Trunk or Treat.
Trunk or Treat is a school/club sponsored Halloween event. Staff members, community members, and others will gather and park their cars in our school parking lot. They open their trunks, or the backs of their vehicles, and decorate them. Then they pass out candy/toys/pencils, etc. from their trunks. The event provides a safe family environment for trick or treaters. There will be candy, games, prizes, and a storytelling car!
