The Bensenville Community Foundation is one of the participants in the 5th Annual DuPage Human Race on April 30, 2016. This is a major fundraiser for the BCF which gives grants to support Bensenville B-Well, Fred Lewis Scholarships, the Bensenville Wood Dale food pantry, numerous programs in the schools, library, and park district (including the ecological restoration project), and the Chamber of Commerce’s New Teacher’s Breakfast.
You have a choice of a 2 mile fitness walk (dogs are welcome at no charge) or a 5K race. Or, if you prefer, make a donation. The entire donation minus a nominal processing fee goes to the BCF. The race and walk begin at 9 a.m., Saturday, April 30 at The Esplanade at Locust Point, 1901 W. Butterfield Rd., Downers Grove (right off I355 at the Butterfield exit). There’s ample free parking at the site and plenty of people directing traffic.
