IDOT is scheduled to begin its resurfacing project of IL-83 between I-290 and IL-19 on April 26, 2021. This is a 65 working day contract that will likely last until November. The major items of work include removing and replacing two inches of existing pavement, patching, traffic signal detector loops, structure adjustments, pavement markings, and restoration. The project will require lane closures, and there will be significant impact to traffic. K-Five Construction is the general contractor, and the project will be overseen by the IDOT Engineer.
