The first is the Commemorative Service held each year on 9/11 - it will be at 6:30 PM.
The second event is part of the 9/12 Generation Project. It will be a Celebration of Service recognizing the tens of thousands of volunteer service hours that the community has generated over the past year. The formal recognition ceremony is at 7 pm on Thursday, 9/12.
The Library is also holding an Open House from 4-8 that day as part of the service recognition and to showcase the Library's newly remodeled Information and Service Centers, including our Early Learning Center, the Career, Senior, Business, Education, Local History and Language and Culture Centers.
