Beginning Tuesday, July 12 the Village’s contractor M.E. Simpson will be performing Unidirectional Water Main Flushing south of the railroad tracks. This process reduces sediment and improves flow capacity in the water mains. Properties will receive a door hanger on the day prior to the water mains being flushed in your area.
There should be no affect to users; if anything you may experience cloudy water. It is recommended then that you run the water for five minutes to clear the line. The water quality remains safe.
All of the water mains south of the railroad tracks will be flushed. The process will take 3-4 weeks.
Following this process, the fire hydrants will be flushed in the same area.
