2025 Residential Street Resurfacing Project
PROJECT SCOPE
This year’s Street Rehabilitation Program consists of resurfacing 1.40 miles of streets, pavement patching, rehabilitation of deteriorated curb and sidewalk, and improvements to ADA curb ramps.
The construction activities are generally broken down into three phases:
- Storm Sewer Repairs – Necessary repairs and/or modifications are made to the drainage structures along roadways.
- Concrete Repairs – Replacement of deteriorated curbs and sidewalks throughout the project area takes place. This work is generally limited to one side of the street at a time to allow parking for residents while access to their property might be limited.
- Pavement Repairs – The final phase includes milling of the existing pavement surface, pavement patching of the remaining asphalt as needed, placement of a new pavement surface layer, and then final pavement markings are placed. Prior to paving, a tack-coat of fresh oil is applied as an adhesive or bonding between the asphalt layers. Fresh oil signage will be posted in advance to remind motorists to travel slowly on the tack-coat material.
During construction, traffic will be maintained with daily lane closures and flaggers. The project is expected to be substantially completed by June 27, 2025, with final completion and landscape restoration completed by September 26, 2025.

Project Updates
08.29.2025
This week, Nafisco was on site to install new roadway signs throughout the project site. Next week, Seasonal Concepts, the landscape contractor, will be onsite the end of the week to begin preparation for sod installation. Sod is anticipated to be installed during the week of September 8th.
06.27.2025
Plote prepared all the roadways for surface course paving and finished placing the surface on all streets on Friday. The project is now substantially complete with punchlist items to be completed. The remaining punchlist items include pavement striping, roadway signage, and sod installation. Placement of sod will be on hold until weather conditions are favorable to for sod to survive, anticipated around first of September.

The concrete contractor Kanoo was on site to finish all concrete removals and replacements throughout the jobsite. Plote placed the remaining asphalt driveways throughout the project and began milling the roadway surface. Seasonal Concepts began landscape restoration along Doloras and Daniel Drive. Next week, Seasonal Concepts will continue landscape restoration and Plote will continue milling the roadway surface and preparing for surface course paving.

The concrete contractor Kanoo was on site to continue concrete removals and replacements throughout the jobsite. Galaxy Underground performed storm sewer improvements at the intersection of Belmont and David Plote. Next week, Seasonal Concepts will start landscape restoration and Plote will start milling the roadway surface.

Plote was on site to continue placing asphalt driveways throughout the project. Next week, Kanoo will complete concrete curbs removal and replacement, Galaxy will perform storm sewer improvements at the intersection of Belmont and David, and Seasonal Concepts will start landscape restoration.

Next week, Kanoo will complete concrete curbs removal and replacement, and Galaxy will perform storm sewer improvements at the intersection of Belmont and David.

04.25.2025
The contractor, Plote Construction, began mobilizing to the project site. Pre-construction work has begun on the project. This includes installing traffic control signs, JULIE locates, and concrete saw cutting throughout the project. Construction will start on Monday, April 28 with concrete removals on Belmont Avenue. Concrete work will take about a month to complete.
